Easter eggs shopping in Singapore

As Easter draws near, retailers in Singapore are helping shoppers prepare another Easter celebration at home. The number of community cases has remained low for some time, but the maximum number of people for private gathering is still capped at eight. We visit the leading retailers in Singapore to check out the key highlights.

Cold Storage

Easter eggs are displayed in the prominent areas of the store. All the shelf end displays are filled with Easter chocolate eggs and bunnies. It is also a place for baskets, decorations and soft toys. There is a wide range of products at different price points. Most are focused on small packs though, reflecting the small gatherings at home. Shoppers are also directed to its Facebook page via a QR code to play a simple game to win vouchers and exclusive masks.

FairPrice is giving shoppers a sure-win scratch card for every SGD10 (US$7.40) spent on Easter Specials. The promotion is clearly highlighted at the front of the store and on the seaonsal displays. The retailer has also partnered with suppliers in selected stores for exclusive promotions. For example, shoppers who spend SGD8 (US$6) worth of Cadbury chocolates have a chance to win a wide range of prizes.

Baker & Cook

Baker & Cook is an artisanal bakery in Singapore that is making a range of bread like sourdough, bagels and rye. They are available in most major supermarkets where they have added a special feature for traditional hot cross buns. Each purchase will contribute SGD1 to support breast cancer foundation.
