Walgreens rolls out new loyalty program

Walgreens has announced it is ending its Balance Rewards program and launching a new loyalty program, myWalgreens.

‘Save money, stay healthy and save time’

The partnerships with Adobe and Microsoft has led to more personalised shopping experience and as part of the next phase of driving a more customer-centric approach, Walgreens has announced the launch of its new loyalty program, myWalgreens. The app is to be launched in November and looks to enrich the customer experience through content, engagement, and rewards.

Members will earn 5% Walgreens cash on own-brand products and 1% on all other qualifying purchases. Existing loyalty members will be able to join the new loyalty program by signing up and convert their Balance Rewards points to Walgreens Cash. Members will have to sign up by 31st January to transfer their points balance and avoid losing their points.

Improved order fulfilment offering

To support this initiative, Walgreens has made significant improvement to its order fulfilment by launching its new order fulfilment option that allows online and app orders to be ready for collection in less than 30 minutes for instore, curbside or drive-through collection, available nationwide.
