Tesco launches new Clubcard Prices campaign and extends Aldi Price Match

Tesco has stepped up actions to appeal to price sensitive shoppers with a new Clubcard Prices campaign and the extension of Aldi Price Match to more products.

Up to 50% off selected brands through Clubcard Prices

From today, exclusive 'Clubcard Prices' will be automatically offered to customers with Clubcard accounts, reducing the prices of popular brands including Carte D'Or, Birds Eye and McCain by up to 50% . First launched in May 2019, there have been two previous waves of Clubcard Prices. Both of these were for time limited periods but Tesco has not said when the new deals will end. Over 200 frozen products have been included in the launch and many more products across other categories are set to be added in the coming weeks.

Aldi Price Match extended

Tesco is also simultaneously extending its Aldi Price Match campaign to cover more than 500 own brand and branded lines. Launched in March, this mechanic previously only included around 300 lines, overwhelmingly comprising Tesco brand and 'Exclusively at Tesco' private label products.

Commenting on the moves, chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini said: “We know that great value matters to customers more than ever before, that’s why, to reward our loyal customers, we’re offering everyone with a Tesco Clubcard access to hundreds of exclusive deals. We’re also offering everyday low prices on hundreds of products so that customers can get clear and consistent prices on the products they buy regularly.”
