Woolworths has appointed two new senior executives to head up its Endeavour Drinks business, which it will spin off later this year.

New team will lead new independent business

Steve Donohue, the retailer's current drinks managing director, has become the managing director for its Endeavour Drinks function. While Colin Storrie, Woolworths' existing group portfolio manager will become chief financial officer once the new business is completely seperated from the Woolworths Group. Woolworths will demerge or sell its liquor business later in 2020, this will include all of its retail operations, as well as its associated hotels and pokies venues.

Two executives with strong Woolworths experience

Woolworths Chairman, Gordon Cairns, said, "Both Steve and Colin are highly experienced executives and have held key leadership roles across Woolworths Group in food, drinks and hospitality. With their in-depth knowledge of the industry and deep understanding of the business, they're ideally placed to oversee the next phase of growth for Endeavour Group, while also sustaining and building on our existing partnership."
