Woolworths loyalty scheme back with Qantas

Woolworths has renewed partnership with Qantas for their loyalty programme, just months after ending ties with the airline.

The new agreement replaces the old tie-up under which card holders earned one Qantas Point for every dollar above A$30 spent at Woolworths. The new deal will allow members of the Woolworths Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer programmes to convert their ‘Woolworths Dollars’ into Qantas Points (870 Points for every 10 Dollars).

In addition to that Woolworths is increasing the number of ‘orange ticket items’ (eligible for earning Qantas Points) on fresh and high demand products and implementing a Woolworths Dollars ‘top-up’ campaign. This should ensure that active members will have earned at least ten Woolworths Dollars in the first seven weeks of the programme.

Launch in H1 2016

The new scheme will be launched in the first half of 2016. Between January 2016 and the full launch, customers who previously earned Qantas Points via Woolworths Rewards will receive regular bonus Qantas Points offers, while those holding a Qantas Frequent Flyer-linked credit card will continue to earn points each time they shop at Woolworths.
