Woolworths has opened a latest supermarket in Brisbane, which builds on learnings from its Marrickville store opening in Sydney in early 2018.
Strength lies in fresh food
The new stores, known as Woolworths 3.0, has a similar design, as well as many features that we have seen at Marrickville. There is a full range of counters, including a bakery, fishmongers, butchery, deli, hot food, plus a new cheese cave. With shoppers welcomed to the store by a strong range of locally produced fresh fruit and vegetables.
New drive-thru and meal kit solutions
There are some new features in the store that make it more convenient for shoppers. Woolworths has added a drive-thru pick up service for online orders, meaning that customers can alert the store via an app that they are arriving and groceries will be brought to their car. On top of this, in an Australian first, shoppers can purchase 'Ready to Create' meal kits, similar to Hello Fresh and Marley Spoon.
Great prices, fresh and convenience
Woolworths Queensland State Manager, Matthew Franich, commented, “Woolworths Racecourse Village Ascot marks the next evolution of our journey to create a neighbourhood food store for Queensland customers. It provides a great shopping experience for our local customers, with good prices on products they want, a great fresh offer and the convenience they are looking for.”
