Major UK wholesale buying group, Today's has kicked off 2014 with a major campaign to build the uptake of its new private label ranges amongst members and their retail customers. Under the title of 'Margin maker!' Today's Group members are offering promotional wholesale prices on a range of its Today's Select private label products, enabling retailers to make a minimum of 40% profit on retail on each line.
Aiming to target loyalty
Today's Group private label ranges are one of the most recent launches in the UK wholesale sector, and now provide members with a highly competitive two-tier offer comprising an 'Essentials' portfolio of household basics with a quality focused range of almost 70 food lines under the 'Select' brand. These are further supplemented with exclusive label lines such as Blue Stone water. With up to 60% POR now available on specific lines, Today's Group is seeking to really embed these products in the ranges of the 450 retail customers operating the Today's fascia as well as the 1,800 in its national retail club.
Commenting on the campaign, Bill Laird, Managing Director, Today's Group commented:
"Previously, retailers have gone elsewhere for own brand lines, because we didn't have the range to offer. However, we do now and we're encouraging them to make the switch to 'their' brand. This could mean significant sales for wholesalers with lots of retail customers. Some of our members have significant numbers of symbol group retailers and retail club members. That's a huge opportunity for them."
