Martin Williams to step down as Landmark MD

The long-standing managing director of Landmark Wholesale, Martin Williams has announced he is to stand down after 14 years heading up the major buying group.  Martin has been with the group for 33 years in total, including five years as trading director, before being appointed as managing director in 2002.

Leaves the company at the end of December

Following the announcement Martin Williams will remain with Landmark until the end of 2016.  He has now also stepped down as chairman of the sector body, The Federation of Wholesale Distributors, and his successor in that role will be announced shortly.

John Searle and Andrew Thewlis as interim heads of Landmark

No replacement for Martin Williams as managing director of Landmark has yet been made.  Once he leaves his responsibilities within the buying group will be filled temporarily by trading director John Searle and finance director Andrew Thewlis.
