Landmark drives private label with 40% margin promotion

As part of its 40th anniversary year, leading UK wholesale buying group Landmark has launched a three-week promotion for retailers offering its 40 best-selling Lifestyle private label products at wholesale prices that guarantee 40% profit on retail on all these lines.  Beginning on the 1st April, the '40 Great Groceries' promotion runs until the 20th.

30% POR guarantee ongoing plus cash back support

To underpin the role of private label as a key element of the value offer to retailers as well as consumers, Landmark is seeking to ensure that its Lifestyle range provides a strong margin return. As of the 21st April, the 80  must-stock Lifestyle grocery lines will all offer a profit on retail of 30%. In addition to the margin benefits, customers of Landmark wholesale members can also gain £40 cash back for increasing the number of Lifestyle grocery lines that they stock.

Landmark private label growing at 9%

Boosted by the strong marketing from central office, sales of Landmark's private label ranges are growing fast, with the value of good into depots up 9% in February. Within this the Lifestyle Value budget range grew at a massive +65%, tapping into the shopper's needs for low prices, while the No3 tobacco range was up 29%.

Two new members takes group to 37

As well as driving sales through existing customers Landmark continues to recruit successfully. 1st April saw two new members join the group, both based in Ireland. Corrib Food Products operates in the Republic, while Express Foodservice operates both delivery and cash & carry service in the North. These new members provide Landmark with additional scale in the foodservice channel and extend its reach further beyond Great Britain.
