Now the UK's third largest cash & carry-based trade wholesaler, Landmark member Blakemore Wholesale has launched a raft of new initiatives to bring additional focus to meeting the needs of its key customers in the independent retail sector.
Revamped symbol group package
Building on the successful Landmark Lifestyle Express symbol group package, Blakemore Wholesale recruits and supports retailers through its depot network. And it has now launched an improved package of support, including solutions tailored to both large and small stores, increased field support for retailers, with with more regular store visits from business development managers, and a new promotional schedule. Consumer promotional programmes will now run three weekly, to keep offers fresh and drive visit frequency, while new, more impactful point of sale material will help stores communicate deals more effectively.
New online ordering offers improved functionality
Blakemore Wholesale has also launched a new online ordering platform for retailers, to help support this fast-growing area of the wholesale experience. As well as offering more efficient and faster searching, the new site provides product images to help browsing and selection, plus an extensive array of information and new tools to help drive customers' businesses. For Blakemore's symbol group customers the site has a dedicated retailer area, with access to downloadable point-of-sale, store planograms and category advice.
Boosting retailer profits with 40% POR zones
To help retailers sustain profitability while remaining price competitive, Blakemore Wholesale has introduced 40% POR zones across its cash & carry depot portfolio. These bring together hundreds of trade deals on products that enable retailers to get a 40% or more return in store, allowing them to achieve a more profitable overall mix. Including both leading brands and Landmark private label lines, offers are highlighted across depots to provide optimum visibility.
