The Southern Co-operative is collaborating with Finnish company Foodie.fm to trial Click & Collect.
System to offer personalised recommendations
The trial is based on Foodie Local, a self-service online system, which makes personalised food and product recommendations. Foodie Local offers information on over 100,000 products in the UK and is optimised for mobile use.
Trial should help the retailer serve customers better
Steve Tremlett, Head of Retail Business Development at the Southern Cooperative commented "When we started discussions with Foodie, we were impressed by their approach with personalised meals and efficient in-store fulfilment. In a surprisingly short time, we were able to setup Click & Collect operations in one of our stores. That will bring us valuable information about how we can serve our customers in better and more convenient ways and make fulfilment operations as efficient as possible".
