Nisa merges sales and retail teams in restructure

Date : 05 June 2019

Now past the first anniversary of its acquisition by Co-op, Nisa has announced a reshuffle of management responsibilities.  With Retail Director, Nigel Gray to leave the business, Steve Leach, currently Sales Director, will take an expanded brief covering both sales and retail functions as of 1 July.  This will bring together retailer recruitment, account management and retail operations under a single head.

Chief Operating Officer gains additional responsibilities

John McNeil, who moved over from Co-op to be Nisa Chief Operating Office in late 2018, is also widening his remit to include format and development, marketing and PR as well as taking on responsibility for Nisa's charitable initiative Making a Difference Locally (MADL).  Meanwhile Martin Rogers, Co-op's head of new channels, will now also lead on strategic planning for Nisa, as well as the development of franchise operations.

Ken Towle, Chief Executive, Nisa commented:

'We recently celebrated our first year anniversary of being part of the Co-op family and reflected on our successes to date.  However, there is more we can do to realise our strategic vision and this reorganisation will better align our management structure to Nisa's growth strategy.'
