LuLu to continue expansion in UAE…
LuLu’s chairman and managing director, Yusuff Ali MA, has said the company will open 20 hypermarkets in the UAE in the next two years. The retailer said the 20 stores would include the following: Khalifa City, Al Falah, Riyadh City in Abu Dhabi, Silicon Oasis, Dubai South Mall in Dubai, Muwaila, Saja, Umm Al Tarafa in Sharjah.
…As it opens new store in the country
The retailer has opened its newest hypermarket in Festival City, Dubai. LuLu said the 5,600 sq. m store dedicated 85% of its selling space to groceries and fresh foods. The new store has also seen LuLu evolve its offer, adding a dine-in area and food-for-now options including sushi, pasta and pizza.
Discussing the new store, LuLu Group’s managing director, Yusuff Ali M A, said: “Over the years of catering to different nationalities, we have seen the growing demand for internationally sourced products. This is why it will be our continuous commitment to offer high-quality products at the most affordable prices in the market.”
The Sultan Center opens new flagship store in Kuwait
The Sultan Center has announced the opening of its newest store in Kuwait, its new flagship in the country. The new 1,100 sq. m store aims, according to the company, to provide ‘differentiated offerings and collaborating with exciting brands to cater to the evolving lifestyles in Kuwait’.
Discussing the new store, the retailer’s chief executive, Khadija Oubala said: “ During the last three years, we focused on revamping our operations, enhancing relationships with our partners, and repositioning our offering to better serve our customers. Today, we’re resuming our growth in our home market, offering our customers an unmatched shopping experience.”
Nahdi Medical Company launches health-focused campaign
Nahdi Medical Company has launched a campaign to encourage shoppers to live healthier lifestyles as it looks to inspire them to lose weight. The pharmacy chain is running the campaign under the tag line, Wazen Hayatak (Balance Your Life) name, and is set to play a part in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme.
As part of the campaign, individuals are invited to a series of weigh-ins. At the first they will be able to receive a free consultation about their diet and are advised how they could lose weight. The person who looses the most weight proportionally will win a prize of SAR100,000 (US$26,618), while the individual who looses the most weight overall will win the same amount.
