LuLu has announced new store openings in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
LuLu continues expansion in UAE…
LuLu has opened a new shopping centre with a LuLu Hypermarket as its anchor store in the Mall of UAQ in Umm Al Quwain. Commenting on the store, LuLu’s chairman, Yusouf Ali M A, said: “It has been our policy to reach nearer to the people rather than driving long distances to reach us. We are upbeat about the economy and the vast investment opportunities laid open in the countries where we are expanding, thanks to the visionary leadership of the UAE Rulers.”
…As it opens first National Guard Housing-based store…
Following the announcement of the agreement in Q4 2018 LuLu has opened its first mini market at National Guard Housing site located at Al Mubarraz. The store is the first of two shopping centres and seven supermarkets that LuLu will open under the agreement in Dammam and Al Ahsa.
…And its ninth store in Qatar, as it prepares for its 10th
The retailer said it had added its ninth store in Qatar, a 12,000 sq. m hypermarket, at Ezdan Oasis, Al Wukair. Announcing the opening of the store, LuLu said ‘the new venture will live up to the same brand identity that LuLu has committed to since Day 1, highlighting quality products and a world-class shopping experience’.
Separately, LuLu said it would open an 8,000 sq. m hypermarket in the Doha Mall when the shopping centre opens in 2020. The company said the store would carry some 35,000 SKUs.
