The Kantar Worldpanel GB market share data for the 12 weeks to 24 May 2015 indicates that sector growth remains sluggish, with overall sales seeing a mere 0.2% increase.  Deflation is still the key driver in the market, with prices continuing to fall across many categories, though the general rate as measured by Kantar moderated slightly to -1.9%, from the previous record low of -2.1%. ...

The latest grocery share figures from Kantar Worldpanel, for the 12 weeks to 26 April 2015, show that growth in the GB market slowed to just 0.2% in the period, impacted by a record level of deflation.  According to the Kantar measure of inflation, prices fell by 2.1% over the 12 weeks, slowing the growth rates of nearly every major retailer, and effectively taking £532m out of supermarket tills. ...
