7-Eleven in Hong Kong, operated by Dairy Farm, has added two vegan ready-to-eat meals at its stores.
New options for shoppers
The plant-based meals are produced by OmniEats, part of the OmniFoods brand portfolio founded by David Yeung. Available to customers at 7-Eleven are two flavours, Spicy Thai Basil OmniPork Rice and Thai OmniPork Stir-Fried Noodles. Last week, the company’s newly launched OmniPork Luncheon Meat (a vegan version of SPAM) was made available at 280 locations of McDonald’s and 122 McCafé outlets across Hong Kong and Macau.
