Costco Australia is launching online shopping and delivery later this month, but it will be available to members only.

Making shopping more convenient

Costco members will need to register for an online account to use the new online shopping service. Shipping costs will be included in online prices. Overall prices, however, will be slightly higher than shopping in the warehouses. Costco also plans to sell exclusive products online.

Another route to drive member acquisition

Costco members will be notified when the site is live and available in their area. Costco has 12 warehouses across Australia. The wholesaler currently offers delivery to business customers within 20km of their Docklands warehouse in Melbourne. Launching online will help increase Costco’s reach to acquire new members, as well as retain existing ones too.
