Major UK retail channel wholesaler, Bestway is launching a trial of the multi-functional Jisp shopping app across both its company-owned stores and independent retail customers as it seeks ways for them to adopt and accelerate contactless shopping and remote ordering, to support changed consumer needs.
Six-week trial before roll-out
This move makes Bestway the latest wholesaler to seek to offer its retailers a recommended solution to the upsurge in demand for home shopping and the challenges of both capturing customer orders and taking payment remotely. Jisp is now one of the third-party providers gaining traction in this space. Perhaps the front-runner amongst these is Snappy Shopper which has built relationships with SPAR wholesalers CJ Lang and AF Blakemore. Meanwhile in Scotland, Filshill and United Wholesale have partnered with Appy Shop and Deliveries Sorted respectively to support their symbol group retailers.
Jisp platform benefits from extended functionalities
As well as be able to be deployed as a mobile shopping platform for home shopping and payment, Jisp also offer in-store contactless capability enabling shoppers to scan and pay for products in aisle without the need to queue at a till. Alongside this Jisp also offers additional business functionality for retailers, with a delivery and click & collect scheduling facility helping to ensure these services can be fulfilled in an efficient and timely fashion for both shopper and store owner. Access to and use of the platform will be provided by Bestway to its retail partners free of charge.
Dawood Pervez, Managing Director, Bestway Wholesale commented:
'We are excited to be partnering with Jisp to give our retail partners access to Jisp's technology to ensure they can fully benefit from the consumer's increasing need for home delivery and click & collect services in a really cost effective way. We are continually looking for ways to develop our service to our retail partners and this partnership is another benefit of working with Bestway.'
