Health and beauty specialist, Superdrug, has launched a 30-minute click & collect service

Boosting the convenience offer

Superdrug has launched a 30-minute click & collect service across its entire estate.

Shoppers can now check stock levels before they visit their local Superdrug branch, purchase items online and collect them in-store in just 30 minutes.

The service is free of charge, and is designed to tackle shopper frustration when they visit a store to find the product they wish to purchase is out of stock, as well as making the path to purchase for seamless for the shopper.

The move comes ahead of Black Friday which will prove a test for the retailer in executing the new service.

Matt Walburn, UK eCommerce director at Superdrug, commented on the news, "We know our customers love the convenience of picking up Superdrug.com orders in our stores and we know they want to live more sustainably – avoiding the emissions that comes from ordering deliveries to their home. Giving customers the ability to purchase online and pick up in 30 minutes with no charge is a key step in bringing our store and online business closer for our customers."

Delivering more convenient fulfilment solutions

The news comes amid a surge in retailers looking to provide shoppers with more convenient solutions on deliveries, as demands and expectations continue to rise.

Boots also offers a click & collect service, when shoppers make an online purchase before 8pm, they are able to pick it up in one of over 2,200 stores the next day from 12pm.
