Aldi has expanded its trial of on-demand delivery service with Deliveroo to the capital, specifically in Camden.

Follows a successful trial across the Midlands

The move follows a successful trial in eight stores across the Midlands. Customers will have the choice to shop from over 200 essential Aldi products, before being picked and packed by Aldi staff and delivered by Deliveroo’s riders.

Customers that live within around two miles of Aldi’s store in Camden will be able to benefit from the service – including West Hampstead, Belsize Park and Mayfair – in as little as 30 minutes.

100,000 people

Richard Thornton, communications director at Aldi, commented: “In the three weeks since we launched our partnership with Deliveroo, feedback from customers has been very positive.

“Extending that partnership to around 100,000 people living near our Camden store will make it even easier for them to access great-quality, affordable food at Aldi’s unbeatable prices.”

If successful, the service could be rolled out to additional stores across the UK before the end of the year.
