Tesco and Sainsbury's: anniversary celebrations

Date : 02 May 2019

Tesco announces discounts for Clubcard holders and Sainsbury's celebrates 150 years with pop-up experience.

Tesco: rewarding Clubcard holders

Tesco has announced plans to launch its Clubcard Prices initiative to mark its cenetary.

The initiative will provide Clubcard holders with discounts on products when they scan their Clubcard at the checkout, both in-store and online.

The news follows a week long trial, believed to have run at 50 stores across a range of 20 products.

The move aligns with Tesco's continued focus on driving Clubcard usage and offers a great way to celebrate by rewarding loyal shoppers.

Sainsbury's: experience-led activation

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Sainsbury's will launch a pop-up experience 'Since 1869: The Sainsbury's 150 Experience'.

The retailer is hosting a sensory experience, which demonstrates how Sainsbury's has transformed and evolved over the 150 years in a fun and engaging way.

Sainsbury's has recruited actors to take guests through a journey and bring the changes to life.

The pop-up is set to take place on May 26th and 27th in Covent Garden. Entry is free, but pre-bookable tickets have already sold out.
