Lidl Plus launched in the UK and Germany

The loyalty app Lidl Plus is now available in the UK and Germany.

What is the Lidl Plus app?

The app is Lidl’s digital loyalty and rewards programme and offers the following features:

  • Coupons to be redeemed at checkout. Offers include money off on first purchase and 15-50% off on selected private label products
  • Digital receipt and tracking
  • Stores locator with opening hours
  • Weekly leaflet, adapted to the local store
  • Partner offers: money off on gym and TV subscriptions, cinema tickets and energy bills (Germany only)

In Germany the app also offers a “discount collector” to encourage shoppers to shop more often to unlock specific rewards. The first reward could be unlocked after reaching €30 spent in store (cumulative but limited in time). This is a feature that could likely be added to the UK version of the app when officially launched on the 3rd of September.

The Lidl Plus app is now available in 12 countries

Lidl continues to roll out its loyalty and reward app across Europe and is now available in twelve countries. More countries are expected to follow by the end of 2020. The app also offers the unique feature of being borderless, meaning shoppers travelling can use it in any country where available.
