John Lewis & Partners begins trial of its click & collect service in select Booths stores and reports record Black Friday week sales.
Booths trialling John Lewis click & collect
Booths, the north-west based regional UK supermarket operator, is trialling John Lewis click & collect in five of its stores.
John Lewis shoppers can now place orders on johnlewis.com by 8pm and their orders will be ready for collection at the stores customer service desk by 2pm the next day.
The order will be held in-store for seven days before being returned to John Lewis.
Stores involved in the trial include Ilkley, Settle, St Annes, Media City, Salford and Garstang.
Record Black Friday week sales at John Lewis
John Lewis & Partners reports record sales last week, with its Black Friday deals and price match offer proving popular amongst shoppers.
The retailer reported 7.7% growth in sales for the week to 27th November. The result marks the biggest week of sales in history for the retailer, both in-store and online.
Electricals and fashion performed particularly strongly. Sales were up 5.7% across electrical and home technology and fashion sales grew 13.1%.
