Future Retail expands store network

Expansion plans across both small and large format stores.

Stores in more than 100 cities across India

Future Retail has announced its intention to boost its store network in the coming months. It plans to open 20 more Big Bazaar hypermarkets as well as an additional 100 small format stores. When completed, this will bring its total network to more than 300 Big Bazaar stores and 766 small format stores.

As part of its strategy to increase revenues from small format stores, the retailer will ramp up the opening of its small stores. It is currently opening two stores everyday and intends to increase this pace to three stores per day.
