Don Don Donki to open its largest store in Guam

After three years of studying the market, the retailer believes Guam is the ideal location for Don Don Donki’s first store in Mircronesia.

New store close to airport

Construction has begun and the shopping centre is expected to open its doors in September 2021. The new shopping centre ill be several stories tall on the corner of Marine Corps Drive and Airport Road. It will have about 14,800 sq m of retail space. It will feature a wide selection of in-house restaurants, grocery items and eating area.

The retailer operates a chain of variety discount stores under the Don Don Donki banner in Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. It is one of several store brands under Pan Pacific International Holdings Corp. The company also operates:

• Don Quijote, the banner for its discount stores in Japan, and Mega Don Quijote, a format for large-sized stores. These stores focus on fresh, other foods and daily commodities
• Marukai, which operates supermarkets with both members and non-members systems offering food and lifestyle products
• Times Supermarket, a Hawaii-based chain with 24 stores, acquired in 2017
