Amazon adds 62 new London postcodes to its AmazonFresh grocery service, it is now available to more Prime members in Greater London.

AmazonFresh was launched in early June (read about it here), and expanded with an additional 59 London postcodes in late June. Amazon have announced further expansion today (08.09.16) with 62 more postcodes. The delivery service will now be available to Prime members in 190 Greater London postcodes, including Richmond, Croydon and Leatherhead. AmazonFresh customers benefit from one-hour delivery slots between 7am and 11pm, and since its introduction both Tesco and Sainsbury's have introduced same-day delivery.
Vice president of AmazonFresh, Ajay Kavan said, "We are excited about bringing the service to even more Prime members in more parts of London." He added, "we continue to further improve AmazonFresh as we rollout to new areas.
This year, the online retailer has launched several new schemes in the UK. This week, Amazon launched its Amazon Restaurants service, and also recently introduced Amazon Dash to the UK. Between Fresh, Pantry and Prime Now, Amazon continues to expand its market position for household goods and convenience shopping, directly challenging traditional retailers.
Amazon's increasing presence in online retail is unlikely to slow down, with propositions like Amazon Echo and Amazon FLEX still yet to be launched in the UK. Amazon's plans for its drone delivery service could redefine convenience for online shoppers.
