The launch of Inamall, a marketplace on Tmall Global enables Indonesian businesses to sell to Chinese consumers directly.
Supported by the Indonesian government
Inamall was luanched by Indonesian Trade Minister Thomas Lembong and Alibaba Group vice president Brian A Wong.
“E-commerce is among the fastest and most effective way to reach out hundreds of millions of consumers in China and other countries without arduous efforts and huge investments. This will be an effective way to market our Indonesian products.” Lembong said. He also mentioned that the ministry was currently looking into other partnerships with other e-commerce giants besides Alibaba.
What's available on Inamall?
Only a few brands are listed on Inamall right now, including Kapal Api, a coffee brand that is quite well-known in China. We expect the list to grow rapidly if Tmall pushes Inamall like they did with the other country-focused marketplaces e.g. the UK, the US, France, South Korea, Thailand, etc.
