Netherlands-based Ahold has announced two appointments, one in the US and one in its home market.
Albert Heijn signs up new e-commerce manager
In the company’s home market, Ahold has announced the appointment of Adriaan Thierry as its new general manager for AH.nl. Thierry will assume responsibility for the company’s growing online grocery business by taking on management for Albert Heijn’s Appie, Pick Up Points and home delivery. Bol.com is excluded from this move.
In US, Ahold appoints new CIO
Meanwhile at Ahold USA, the company has employed Paul Scorza as chief information officer. Scorza will oversee all of Ahold USA’s information management functions, with a focus on systems and business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, controls and operations. Commenting on the appointment, Ahold USA’s EVP finance and CFO Paula Price said: “Paul will play a crucial role in… helping to modernise our technology tool set and simplify the way we do business to position the company for future growth.”
