Major UK convenience retailer, McColl’s is teaming up with restaurant delivery expert Deliveroo to offer home delivery. The service aims to help support vulnerable customers during their coronavirus isolation.

Initial availability in 120 stores, to be rolled out to 300

Offering a range of food, grocery, cleaning and hygiene essentials, as well as news and magazines, shoppers will be able to order through the Deliveroo app, for delivery through the Deliveroo network in 30 minutes.

Currently operating some 1,400 sites, at the outset the new service will be available through 120 McColl’s stores, in locations where they have both the necessary product range and proximity to existing Deliveroo operations. The coverage will then be progressively expanded to 300 stores nationwide.

Jonathan Miller, Chief Executive, McColl’s commented:

'We are delighted to be partnering with Deliveroo at this important time. We want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to get their daily essentials as they stay at home. The partnership allows us to further our support of the neighbourhood communities we serve, providing the option of home delivery for a wide range of quality goods from our stores across the country.'
