The vending machine is launched inside a gaming studio in a neighbourhood mall, Samyan Mitrtown, on 16th August 2020.

First and only self-service vending machine from Starbucks

The machine provides classic drinks like Espresso, Americano, Latte and Caramel Macchiato in hot or cold versions. Non-coffee drinkers have the options for hot or iced chocolate. Shoppers can customize their drinks further with an addition of syrups including caramel, vanilla and hazelnut flavours. Prices start from THB60 (US$1.90). Payment can be done via a QR code using e-wallets like Rabbit Line Pay or Thai mobile banking.

Vending machines becoming more common

7-11 launched its first vending machine café at Aspire Sathorn condominium near Bang Wang BTS in June. Besides cold drinks, the machines have sandwiches, reheatable meals, instant noodles and Japanese rice balls. There is also a microwave available for self-service. FamilyMart had also launched a vending convenience store in April this year. The launch helped to support people working outside normal operating hours during the COVID-19 pandemic. As shoppers are more concerned about safe distancing in stores, more vending machines may be made available to support their needs for convenient products in Thailand.
