According to reports in W&V, Germany-based Rewe will launch the second part of a new marketing campaign this week.
Promotion to build on first steps in October 2012
The campaign, which will be run in relation to the company’s supermarket division, will build on the first stage, which launched in October 2012. Rewe is aiming to highlight to shoppers how it consistently meets the needs of modern consumers in a “clear, direct and no-frills” way. A future stage in the campaign will see the retailer focus on its private label ranges.
Meanwhile, Toom BauMarkt leaves sourcing alliance
Rewe has also announced that its DIY chain Toom BauMarkt has split with partner Hellweg Profi-Baumärkte from the two companies’ joint sourcing alliance. A press release from both retailers stated: “Different opinions about the development and strategic positioning of the co-operation have resulted in this mutual agreement.”
