Kaiser's to focus on North Rhine

Date : 22 February 2013

Kaiser's Tengelmann is to modernise or rebuild around 50 stores in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany this year, according to trade press reports.

Aim is to increase revenue contribution

North Rhine-Westphalia is Tengelmann's third-largest region in terms of store numbers, after Berlin and Munich; it operates around 160 supermarkets there.  However, according to Lebensmittel Zeitung, they only contribute around 25% of revenue and the aim of this refurbishment is to improve that figure.
