SPAR Austria has announced the retirement of two long-standing members of its executive board, chairman Dr Gerhard Drexel, and Rudolf Staudinger, at the end of 2020. Drexel served on the SPAR executive board for 31 years, including 20 years as chairman. He will become the chairman of the group’s supervisory board. Staudinger spent 18 years on the board, totaling 36 years with the retailer.
