Coles runs 'Instant Win' promotion

Coles is running a new 'Instant Win' promotion that allows shoppers the potential of winning a prize each time they shop.

Over 1,000 products included in the promotion

Shoppers will recieve a prize code on their receipt for every transaction that includes three or more items from participating products. All they then have to do is enter the code at to see if they have won. There are over 1,000 products taking part in the promotion, from brands including Arnott’s, Bega, Colgate, Don, Finish, Herbal Essences, MasterFoods, NESCAFÉ, Sunbites, Supercoat and Tip Top. Prizes include a AU$4,000 Australian holiday package, adventure activities, days out vouchers, weekends away, book vouchers, spa gift cards, yoga classes and a years worth of meal deliveries from local restaurants, from Menulog. The promotion started on 29 July and will run until 22 September.

Two large marketing campaigns launch together

Although many retailers have pulled back on promotions during the COVID-19 pandemic, Coles has launched two major promotions in the same week, having introduced its Little Treehouse collectables campaign as well. Running two campaigns at the same time, on top of the challenges of keeping stores running, particularly in Melbourne, where a new six week lockdown has been imposed, could bring about operational complication and challenges for the retailer. However, the instant win campaign is a great way of bringing excitment and a bit of joy to customers lives at what is a difficult time. The prizes are focused on supporting Australian businesses and encouraging people to stay active despite the pandemic.
