7-Eleven has launched 7-Eleven Wallet app to allow customers to add cash into the 7-Eleven app and pay for items from their mobile phones.

A service to encourage more cashless transactions

Cash can only be loaded (without a transaction fee) at the cash register in-store, but other payment methods such as debit, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and prepaid 7-Eleven gift cards can be loaded in the app.

7-Eleven wallet allows users to participate in customer loyalty offers such as 7Rewards program, which currently has 40m users. Users can earn and shop with points, get exclusive offers, redeem rewards and pay by scanning the barcode in the app.

Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven’s President and CEO, said, "7-Eleven Wallet meets the needs of customers looking for convenient, contactless ways to shop and pay during this unprecedented global pandemic [...] Cash customers want to participate in the growing digital payment ecosystem.”
