We round up the latest developments from Dansk Supermarked, including the retailer's extended private label range and new partnership with wine app, Vivino.
Private label extends in organic and free-from
Dansk Supermarked is extending its Levevis private label range to meet changing consumer trends. As part of the expansion, the retailer will expand the range from 220 to 360 products, focusing more on organic products, free-from products and perfume-free products.
Commenting on the development, commercial director Viktor Jegesi said, “The market potential for more 'customized' products have yet to hit the ceiling. We believe that more of our customers will require care and have special needs, and those we want to help to meet through our own Levevis range in føtex and Bilka”.
Partnership with Vivino
Netto has partnered with wine website, Vivino, which offers dedicated price comparisons, ratings and reviews, to help people choose wine in-store. Shoppers will be able to scan products to access reviews through the Vivino app, while there will also be dedicated iPads with the Vivino app in-store so shoppers can learn more about wine.
Additionally, the retailer will regularly launch two new Vivino-accredited wines in as part of its monthly promotional cycle.
Commenting on the development, Netto marketing manager, Martin Hasgard Olesen said, 'Many customers find it difficult to buy wine... It is our experience that this kind of information [is] demanded by customers to a greater extent than ever before'.
