Sainsbury's has announced that Argos customers will now receive Nectar points for purchases made at Argos in-store and online. Previously customers could only collect points if they placed an Argos order online. Now they will automatically collect points for purchases made in-store as well. To launch the scheme double points will be offered on all purchases for a limited period (September 18th - 28th).

Incentivising early Christmas shopping

Commenting James Moir, Managing Director at Nectar, said:“We’re constantly looking for new ways to reward our customers, so we are very excited to offer a new way for shoppers to get the most out of their Nectar points with one of the nation’s most loved brands. The Nectar app is a one stop virtual shop to make points work harder and we hope that with this new offer, our customers can kick start their early Christmas shopping and get more from their purchases at Argos.”

The move demonstrates Sainsbury's drive to make Nectar a more significant driver of loyalty, following the launch of Nectar 360 in October last year that made the scheme digital first and created opportunities for customers to earn bonus points depending on their purchasing patterns.
