Pan-Asian retailer Dairy Farm has launched two new concept stores in Hong Kong.

New 7-Eleven convenience store concept partnering Carlsberg

7-Eleven has launched a new concept shop in partnership with Carlsberg. The store is located in Discovery Bay, a residential area popular amongst expats on Lantau Island. The concept is the first of its kind in the market. It allows customers to purchase different Carlsberg brews. Currently, the three beers available are Elephant Strong, Carlsberg Export and Unfiltered.

Market Place grocery banner revamped

Dairy Farm has opened Market Place at Hong Kong’s Langham Place shopping centre, Mong Kok, Kowloon. Fresh food is at the heart of the store, with made-to-order meals and freshly baked breads available. The food-to-go area surrounds an open kitchen. The design is modern, with great use of open spaces, allowing shoppers to easily navigate inside the store. The emphasis of the store’s design is to express “freshness of the farm to the table” whilst adding a “contemporary twist on the modern farmhouse.”

The design of Market Place features elements similar to the retailer’s CS Fresh and Mercato stores in Singapore and Penang, Malaysia, respectively. These stores were part of the retailer’s efforts to reinvent its larger format stores. In Hong Kong, Market Place by Jasons is positioned as a high-end supermarket chain.
