Bestway Retail has become the latest player in the UK convenience sector to sign a partnership with one of the last mile delivery specialists. Under this agreement 81 stores from the Bestway Retail network, including locations trading as Wine Rack, Bargain Booze, Select Convenience and Central Convenience, will participate in the initial pilot with Uber Eats, before the service is rolled out further.
Service to offer over 700 lines
The participating Bestway Retail affiliated stores will provide the picking locations for delivery on a significant range of products across alcohol, snacks and convenience products available to be ordered through the Uber Eats app. Stores are committed to stocking all 700-plus lines to ensure consistent availability for shoppers across all areas covered.
Andy Cresswell, Chief Retail Officer, Bestway Retail commented:
'As we look to broaden the reach for our franchisee holders, this relationship with Uber Eats is an excellent opportunity to allow consumers to interact with our stores through digital solutions and to receive instant deliveries to their door. This deal will help retailers showcase their proposition to even more consumers and will help them drive sales across key on-trend categories. For us it's all about being convenient, at the heart of the communities in which we operate.'
