Bestway restructures senior 'retail' roles

Date : 18 July 2019

Major national food and grocery wholesaler Bestway has restructured its senior roles focused on supporting retail channel customers, consolidating this function within the Bestway Retail division.  This change now brings responsibility for the Best-one symbol group into Bestway Retail alongside its role as the centre for the Bargain Booze franchise as well as the company-owned stores under the Central fascia.

Tony Holmes and Edward Smeaton have left the business

With the focus of the Bestway Wholesale team now more fully focused on wholesling operations, including the catering and petfood businesses, Tony Holmes, retail director, and Edward Smeaton, director of trading for retail and private label, have now left the Bestway business.

A Bestway spokesperson commented:

'We continue to strengthen our senior leadership team, as evidenced by the recent appointments of Andy Cresswell to chief retail officer and Kenton Burchell to trading director of Bestway Wholesale over the last few months, as well as continuing to integrate and align our recent acquisitions into one strong Bestway business.'
