Big C opens in Cambodia

Big C has opened its first hypermarket in Poipet, Cambodia.

Soft opening on 5th October

Poipet is a town on the Thai-Cambodian border with more than 200,000 people. There are an increasing number of casinos, hotels, commercial centres and residential developments. The hypermarket sits on a plot of land of 25,000 sq m. The opening event drew many shoppers on its first day. It targets low to middle income shoppers, offering value through a combination of low prices, a wide selection and a clean and efficient shopping environment.

Big C is headquartered in Thailand and operates over 1,000 grocery stores there. This includes 147 hypermarkets, 61 supermarkets, 783 convenience stores and 140 drugstores. The retailer also operates in Laos and Vietnam.
