Carrrefour has reported an improved sales performance for the final three months of 2012, especially in France and emerging markets. Total sales reached €22,853m, up 0.8%, with LFL ex fuel up 0.4%. Netherlands-based Ahold has said in a trading statement that net sales rose by 5.1% in its fourth quarter, at constant exchange rates, to reach €7.8 billion.
