The variety discount retailer Home Bargains has opened its largest ever store, in Liverpool.
The new store was an investment of £800k from the retailer, according to Liverpool Echo. At 25,000 sqf it is the largest Home Bargains store.
The site was previously occupied by Toys R Us. It is opposite Costco, on a retail park 7 miles outside Liverpool city centre. It is the 29th store in Home Bargains home city, Liverpool.
Rapidly growing estate
In the previous 5 years the retailer has opened between 30 and 50 stores each year, bringing its current total to over 520 stores. The retailer aims to continue this rapid pace of openings, forecasting to open 45 in FY2019/20.
Its most recent results reveal Home Bargain's proposition is still resonating strongly with shoppers, with turnover for FY2018/19 up 15%.
