The website at igd.com/ ("the Site") is operated by The Institute of Grocery Distribution, a company registered by guarantee in England under registered number 105680 with registered office at Grange Lane, Letchmore Heath, Watford, Herts, WD25 8GD ("we", "us" and "our" ) either in our own capacity or, where stipulated, as agent for IGD Services Limited, a company registered in England under number 3357260 with registered office at Grange Lane, Letchmore Heath, Watford, Herts, WD25 8GD.

In this privacy policy, references to "you" or "your" means any person submitting any data to us or to the Site about himself or herself or about any other living individual in respect of any use of the Site or any service or material available through the Site.

When you use different aspects of the Site, we may ask you to supply us with various information about you or anyone who you represent. This privacy policy sets out the way in which we may use such information.

We will only collect information where it is necessary for us to do so and we will only collect information if it is relevant to our dealings with you.

We will only keep your information for as long as we are either required to by law, or as is relevant for the purposes for which it was collected.

In particular, we store your personal details on a secure server. We use encryption technology when obtaining your payment card details in the order form from you and we use firewalls on our servers. No payment card details are stored on our servers.

Data that we collect

We need this information in order to respond to your enquiry, process and deliver the goods, services or materials ordered by you, to collect payment from you, to send you information relevant to the goods, services or materials ordered and in case we have any queries.

You must only submit to us or the Site information which is accurate and not misleading and you must keep it up to date and inform us of changes. You are responsible for ensuring that you have full authority and consent to supply us with any data submitted by you in respect of you and anyone else.

Other uses of your personal information

If you attend any of our events, we may include your name and company name in a delegate list. Delegate lists may be distributed in hard copy or electronically included via PDF or weblink. Delegate job titles and company names may be placed on Retail Analysis or any of our other websites. We may also use your personal information to customise the Site in line with your preferences and to help us understand the way in which users use and visit the Site.

Each time you enter the Site, order goods or services from us or submit data to us, you agree that the privacy policy current at that time shall apply to all information which we hold about you.
