British-only button for online

Talks have taken place that could allow online grocery shoppers to only buy British products.

Online food labelling

In a House of Commons debate on the future of food labelling, the Environment minister George Eustice said he was talking to the National Farmers' Union (NFU) about the labelling system for online.

With small product images and limited space for additional icons, it can be harder for an online shopper to know if they are buying a British product or not.

Conservative MPs called for the Government to introduce a button, "so that you can just choose from British products".
