Fast-growing UK fuel forecourt operator, Euro Garages, has launched its latest foodservice partnership, with the opening of a drive-thru KFC at its newly developed site at the Mill Farm Sports Village in Wesham, Lancashire, lying close to the M55 between Preston and Blackpool. The Euro Garages site also includes a Sainsbury's Local store and Greggs bakery, to create a mini service station offer.
KFC is partner brand number six for Euro Garages
Following the launch of its partnership programme to create a portfolio of leading retail and foodservice brands, Euro Garages now operates six brands (in a variety of combinations) across its forecourt sites nationally. Alongside SPAR and Burger King, Euro Garages is now operating 104 Greggs units, 146 Subway units and 67 Starbucks. Having launched its partnership with Sainsbury's in 2016 the Wesham store is the seventh Sainsbury's Local to open on a Euro Garages site.
Targeting 30+ KFCs by 2020
As a major national player in the fast-food/food-to-go sector KFC will provide another key destination brand for Euro Garages, and the business aims to roll it out to over 30 further sites in the next three years. For KFC the partnership with Euro Garages is another significant pipeline for growth, offering access to new high volume drive-thru sites going forward. There are currently some 860 KFC sites across the UK.
New Euro Garages Brand Manager to drive growth
Appointed in December 2016, Brand Manager Iain Fisher is now bringing additional strategic focus to the development and management of the Euro Garages retail/foodservice brand portfolio, and is tasked with building additional future partnerships and identifying new site opportunities.
