Honestbee expands grocery delivery service to Thailand

Honestbee has been rolling out its on-demand grocery delivery service in rapid succession around Southeast Asia. After launching in Indonesia and Malaysia last month, it has just added Thailand to the fold.

Villa market is key grocery partner

All of Villa market outlets including its bistro and cooking studio will offer delivery service through Honestbee. The service provider has been training its shoppers to pick the best quality fresh food. Delivery is limited to the Greater Bangkok area, but will be on the same-day. Besides Villa market, honestbee has several other specialty store partners, including Meyer cookware, Ahmad tea, Perfect Earth Organics and La Paloma butchery.

Service benefits both customers and partners

Honestbee CEO Joel Sng believes the platform offers a way for retailers that are not tech-savvy to foray into e-commerce. The company wants to grow as fast as possible while helping its partners grow their customer base. Working with freelance personal shoppers is also a way to offer flexible, part-time jobs.

“We’re not here to take away business or jobs. We are here to build a robust ecosystem for everybody” says Pauline Png, Chief Marketing Officer at honestbee.
